So we all wanted a guinea pig to try this out - I am that guinea pig!!
Want to Know how we got on????
Well ........ IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!
Big up 2 10forcash - he who is the great one on all things D3 !!
Forget the dealership that says it can't be done - laugh at the specialists who claim you need a missing ecu & wiring they are all wrong, spinning u a line and basically not the experts they claim to be!!
Cruise control now works a dream on my base TDV6 D3 - never had CC before on any vehicle, what have I been missing out on!!!.
Come on all you Base TDV6 owners get yr order in with 10 for cash and get this on yr D3 - you will not regret it!!

Excellent!!! Well done guys!
So, to recap, all that is needed to retrofit cruise control is the following:
1. The switch panel to be bought from LR and fitted to the steering wheel.
2. Your local friendly TFC or equivalent with an Autologic thingy-bob to enable step 1
3. Beer and/or used notes to fund step 2. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

So apart from the TFC component, what other bits did you have to get (other that the steering wheel controls that is)? LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

No other bits needed once you have the switches on yr steering wheel and connected - the only other vital ingredient is of course:
TFC-ology
Go for it guys - u will not regret it!!!!!

Well it's TFC's brainchild and if possible he may pass on his knowledge to Chris Tyler ( Irish based ) and if Chris's tools can be used and if Chris is intetested in doing so and if a fee can be established then ... yes it's possible.
Or you can travel to the UK.
Out of interest who did you order the bits ( steering wheel control buttons) with ?
