That could be interesting.....however, they seem to have already got that working on every car in Spain.
I assume they must have used the front PDC sensors for the radar because everyone seems to drive at exactly one metre from my rear bumper at 150km/h. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I went through this trauma, gave up and opted for a non-LR cruise control. At a cost of £500, I had a "Goldcruise CM25" professionally fitted about a year ago. Works perfectly and gives the added benefit of three preset speed options, which can be overriden. Control stalk fits on the steering column in the starter key blank and the electronics sit in the engine bay, I had it fitted in the spare battery compartment.
The cruise function kicks in at around 18 mph and moves up and down the auto box smoothly. Go to my gallery for images, also a detailed posting in the forum if you can find it. *Disco3 7-seat Auto

That's not a starter key blank - it's where the control for the steering column positioner goes.... on MY8.5
not sure about the electric pedal box control though

Hi there,
I asked my dealer here in Dublin if he could do this for me as I heard it had been done in the UK.
He said he'd make a call and get back to me, no problem he said,he even had the two modules in stock (cruise and radio) at €50 each and an hour to fit I was delighted to say the least.
So I booked it in to be done the next week. I then got a phone call from him stating that Landrover Ireland had contacted him and told him it wasn't available in the Irish market. He seems to think it is possible but cannot do it. He even told me to try calling a garage up north to see if they'd do it. Very nice guy I just think he's getting orders from above.
Seems a shame as it would be a great mod.
Will keep trying.

'Autologic' is a brand name for a diagnostic tool that can also modify the CCF, the dealers only use IDS which requires a code to be input (from LR Engineering) to allow mods that are essentially model specification changes
