For my mind, the worst thing about the 200
is the look of it. Its just so plain and boring to look at. Pete

From the rear it looks like a Ssang-Yong - praise should come no lower than that.

I stopped and had a look at a new 200 series a couple of months ago. At that time, the stealer had one sahara (top o' the line) model on the lot and that was it. I was told they were on a 3-4 month lead time then. Evidently the $10K price increase and less than favourable reviews havent tarnished some people's opinion about the cruiser.
Since 10% of all cruisers on the planet are in australia and there is a huge waiting list, I'd say LR has a good market waiting on them if they can get a few gremlins worked out on the D3. Picked up my new MY08 Stornaway TDV6 SE late Feb. FULLY STOKED! Thanks in advance for all the advice/tips you guys have shared on here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toyota have the marketing well in hand. If you read the 'Drive' section of the Socialist Morning Herald you will find Joshua Dowling almost always manages to squeeze 'Toyota' into the review, no matter what vehicle he is reviewing.
Also the Toyota ‘green’ image:
Toyota Prius; last in fuel consumption and second last of the standard fuelled cars on the solar challenge. And huge dawn to dusk carbon footprint.
A V8 Hybrid Limosine WTF has that got to do with being gree. A car that costs 250 grand is not green, it’s indulgent but it still gets written up as green. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Hang on hang on Eran48, I did write an article in there - on D3s....
(Actually, they did print it about 5 minutes after it was written. They must be short on material). 2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

The only decent and honest reviews are from the owners. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I drove a friend’s LC 200 last week in thick sand in Mozambique. I was not too impressed with vehicles capability in thick sand. Vehicle looked bulky and oversized and interior was unimpressive for what you pay. The 3rd row seats in the back were rattling, and did not fold away into the floor. Ride was ok over uneven surfaces and gear change was smooth. Power did not impress me if power and torque figures are taken into consideration. It just doesn’t have what the D3 offers.
