I presumed they came as a set of 4. I did open the box to have a look, but maybe there were only two in there?!
If only 2 Iโll do the fronts first then order some moreformerly Disco3Ben

"I knew that the radius of the bracket internal corners wouldn't quite marry up with the right angles on the box section, so I plan to use longer fixings to pull it up tight and then the two profiles should hopefully lock into each other.
My thinking is that if I round of the box section to match then it would become too weak, likewise - if I were to square off the internal curves of the brackets then that would create potential 'crack start points'."
With Regards to the Brackets I would square them off but just make sure there is a radius in the corner to prevent stress cracks it doesn't have to be big. Brackets will fit better and the load on the box section would be spread better.
Also I'd put a canvass bag on the front to prevent the weather getting in there whilst driving then fix it in place with the tie strap.
Looking good shame I'm not allowed to do stuff like that to mine swimbo wants a posh roader

Today's jobs were electrics.
new boot handle fitted (the Ford unit) and works well.
Having recently reconditioned the FBH into working order I could then set about finally wiring in the Altox kit that I bought from Beannie a while ago.
Everything was easy to take apart and really simple to fit. When I was unsure about the last couple of wires I just sent him a quick text message and all sorted - top man!
indicator LED fitted
temp sensor fitted in behind the air vent
Last bits to sort tomorrow (inline fuse to +ve, connect all earths to main -ve and then fit the trigger wire I ordered to the FBH)
then all good to go when the crappy weather arrives
Have you fitted the fan controller with your Altox??

I think so!
Fans do come on when I text the Altox, although not particularly strongly. Should I be able to turn them up?
I presume it's the little white box behind the fan controls?formerly Disco3Ben

Is there a separate command for the fans or do they automatically turn on with the FBH?
Any issues with draining the battery if both are running for 30 minutes?

Not sure yet, fan runs straight away. seems ok.
Fans are a bit feeble so doubt they are drawing enough to kill the battery.
Iโve got a split charge system fitted as a back up - you should consider fitting similar ๐๐๐formerly Disco3Ben

Finally added the sill cover strips.
Interesting to see how long they last but have to say that I am more impressed than I thought I was going to be!
starting point - standard scratched sill
cut two 22 inch lengths and rounded the corners
cleaned the sills and fitted both sides
They are subtle and not shiny silver bling, so exactly what I was after.
1 order does the front sills, will order another set to cover the rears.formerly Disco3Ben
