having read about reasons the rear lock can fail I thought I'd investigate (as it refused to open in the past)
Look at the state of it!
gave it a clean out, which should keep the crap out of the way for a while, but I think I might solder in a new one at some point
Ordered some new rear lights and have decided to de-amber the front lights, so time to put the oven on!

Updated rear lights fitted and clear side repeaters. Looks great with the tinted windows on a black car.
Need to see if I can find mirrored bulbs for the side flashers as I don't like seeing the amber through them.
Next step is to finally get my head around removing the amber from the front lights, then done for now

Went for 'dark' and not 'limo tint'.
Would have gone limo but you start to not be able to see through it from inside, especially at night and this isn't just a work vehicle but will be used for family as well.
Other thing I forgot to mention is that the car was previously owned by a smoker.
Any tips for getting rid of the smell??
start smoking nothing wrong with a fag or 2
OR 2 !!!!!!!!

Upper Load Lugga fitted - nice simple bit of kit although I had to re-cut all the threads as they were full of overspray.
whilst fitting it I noticed this random shape in the side of the boot - any idea what it's for, or is it just more space because it was there?
also stashed away a new set of jump leads, first aid kit in the boot cubby holes and have ordered a fire extinguisher (as the batteries I carry are fairly volatile!)
I pinched this image from someone else on here, but I have the same issue - this air vent under the steering wheel appears to be broken, with the lower section stuck inside - is it always open or is it possible to buy a new front to the vent and replace it?

load cover arrived and now fitted.
final thing to do back there is figure out why the rear sunroof blind won't stay closed over......
(it just doesn't want to lock in place - any ideas?)

I haven't.
It's arrived but I read all the reviews again and it sounds like it could make it worse!!
The instructions on the can weren't for cars but for houses and it's put me off.
Might give it a few squirts in there to see what happens as apposed to setting off the whole thing in one go....

Take the panel off and have a look at the spring that closes the flap, mine looked broken but I then realised the spring had become misaligned and I was able to get it back in shape and working properly.
