Why are you surprised at 3.0 petrol? Can get that engine now in the existing D4 in many markets (but obviously not the UK).

VO65HCK shouldn't raise any hopes for the UK market, it is LHD and I suspect could be a mule for the export market.
I do hope there is a 3.0 litre petrol D5 for the UK though - that would be very welcome.
