I don't think the normal height only thing works here, only in Europe. At least, it doesn't happen on mine. I can change height with a trailer connected. Haven't tried extended though.
 Have a nice day!

Jamo next time you have the trailer on drop the chassis onto a block of wood or axle stand. See if extended still works.

[Does having trailer attached prevent extended mode?]

Well it definately goes into the selectable off-road height as per normal. I don't know about extended - I certainly don't recall ever having seen it engage that with the trailer on (only once with it off).

My comment was one of wondering if that automatic process would have prevented the dameage, or would that have occurred too innediately for the extended mode to have actuateed in time? Hence, nice to be able to have some more (switchable) clearance.

Cheers,
Martin[/quote]

I think having the trailer on (and software enabled) stops automatic height selection, so you can still select offroad manually. Don't know about extended height though - I presume if you were in offroad height, it would go to extended mode if it detected it was bottomed out.

I "initiated" (!) extended mode in Finke Gorge Natioanl park (near boggy hole) while towing the Kimberley last July; I must admit I didnt get out and check the height- I just experienced the wonderful scraping noise under the car that told me I was bottoming out - stopped - observed "Extended Mode" warning in the dash - and then gently drove off.....(cleanly)

Hi BlackPerth,

We camped at Boggy Hole on our recent trip. Beautiful spot. The whole Gorge is a great drive, although would probably have been a little easier without the Campomatic (not that it was too hard with it). Definately a must do
Cheers.

I can change the height with a trailer but get a warning and I have to flip the switch a second time before a height change occurs.

Hi,
I've never experienced the extended mode while towing (by now), so I can't say nothing about it, but I just have to flip the switch once to get the change...
