Bodged a loose lock mechanism on the front passenger door.
I’d noticed the door didn’t seem to close fully flush and sometimes needed a harder slam than seemed reasonable. When it refused to catch at all last night I took a closer look and found the three securing screws were missing. I borrowed one each from the rear doors to hold it in place temporarily and it seems to be working.2013 Orkney Grey D4 SDV6 HSE

At last iv managed to get the wheels refurbed by a local company. Dipped and powder coated. Just awaiting new center badges, wheel bolts and locking wheel nuts to be delivered. It’s a shame they leave the tyre looking dirty especially when they went in clean.

Just had my MOT and service, I had advisories for my suspension arms at the front and rear prop shaft, not sure if they would be covered by Warranty Direct, something to look at in the spring when it is a bit warmer for working outside. Otherwise a clean bill of health at just over £400. It’s now on 93k miles.Disco 4

This afternoon has been spent taking a waggaly wing mirror off, stripping the good bits off it and putting them on the new slightly damaged one.
Got to love when you find out that some previous owner was a bodge king, the indicator was the only bit wired in, the rest is as the second picture, I reckon my other mirror will be the same. My local vehicle electrician will be getting a visit to see if they can sort it all out for me next year, oh the joys.

Finally fitted a second hand Frontrunner roof rack to my D4.
Generally, I'm very happy with it and look forward to it carrying stuff down to Abruzzo this summer, but, if I'd have paid the original price (circa £1400) I'd have been very disappointed with the mild steel nuts and bolts it came with!
I replaced most with A4 SS for about £17. Will do the rest over the next few months or so.

Started fitting a set of tailored covers for the back seats. Necessary as the grandchildren seem to struggle to find their mouths if eating in the back. Already had words with monster mk2 because she gets herself back into her booster by pushing into the back of my seat with her feet.
1st back cover on which is a nice fit with no excessive loose cloth so tried to fit the separate headrest cover with no luck. Brought the headrests and covers indoors in the warm to work out what was wrong. Centre headrest fits like a glove, unfortunately I have 3 of them and no outer covers. A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
