Oh damn, you noticed
I'm curious to see the difference. I picked up these de-tangoed halogens from a forum member who lives in the same town so I thought I'd see how they look on the Disco and compare brightness etc. If they're noticeably poorer I'll use the time to stick the Xenons in the oven and rid those of the orange vomit.
Should I expect much difference in performance? The Xenon glass is so yellowed that I'll need to change out the front glass at the same time, if I reuse them.2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

Did some MOT prep - threw a curveball with top tailgate not opening. New switch, still not opening though opens using the lock/unlock buttons.
Always some way of testing your patience

Beefed up security on my lights.
Surprisingly chunky headlight theft protection.
Less chunky but hopefully still effective. Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

Fitted new replacement tailgate struts from SGS. Five minute job including cleaning up the mounts and checking they weren’t loose. Very happy with the result.
New cable stays on order for the lower lid too, as one of them doesn’t rewind properly any more, and it’ll annoy me more now I don’t have to duck to avoid banging my head on the top tailgate!

DIY tactical storage
I’ve been interested in the idea of using the boot side window space for storage for a while, however, the available option are expensive (the below are £200 a pair) and they all seem to block easy access to the side top storage lockers, so sort of defeats the object of adding storage…
SOOOOOOOOO……..
was in IKEA today and saw their range of office storage that works of a slotted board and hookable add ons, it’s in black, light weight MDF style wood, and comes in sheets of 76cm x 56cm, so bigger than the side window, and the best bit, it’s £15 a sheet
I took a sheet home, sorted a cardboard template out for the rear left windo, and after checking twice (for once) cut the board to match the window size plus a few mm….
…and fitted it to the window. The board is thick enough that it’s “stiff” but thin enough to get behind the rear pillar trim and 2nd a pillar to hold it in place, no fixings needed. Used the IKEA straps to secure some kit and all done!
Personally, think it looks good, and does the job, and cost £25 in total with the fancy straps from ikea.
THe light /dark pattern is from my UJ decals on the outside window

Out of interest - why did you go for the left hand window? It is the one I sometimes look out of when pulling in from an overtake/reversing etc.Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Replaced the drivers door lock actuator. Took 3 hours in total, following the Powerfuluk guide on youtube.
Should really be quicker than that, considering it's the third actuator I've replaced in the past year!D3 2.7 TDV6 HSE
