Technically this was not today, it was a year ago! But I just found the video again.
"Today" I loaded up the Disco with an incredible amount of stuff and drove it to Sweden where we have moved to. Went on the Immigham to Gothenburg freight ferry, highly recommended and saves many hundreds of miles driving.
My son was already there and he loves "Pappa's truck" and recognised it from a good distance away.
His reaction is great
This will work even if you don't have a facebook account:
It's one of the (many) reasons why I keep it with all it's wallet-busting headaches. The wee man loves it!

Today I actually managed to pick up my newly refurbished 18" SE 10 spoke wheels with nice new Pirelli Scorpion ATRs and fit them.
The ride has definitely got slightly more bumpy compared to the 17s but turn in has improved which is good.
I like the new look, I'm glad I went with gloss black. In all I'm very pleased with the result.

Today I removed the front differential. Stripped it down to find out why it was grumbling. Replaced the faulty bearing, then reassembled it and refitted it. On test, I have a lovely quiet Discovery again. I also recalibrated the TC box clutches with the IID.
In all a worthwhile day, even if it was pretty hard work on the old body.
This was the culprit. The case hardening was missing in multiple patches.
