Hadn’t you spent a small fortune on rebuilding that engine?
Does that tie in with your D3 on a trailer behind Bods?

Del - Yes...and yes....
And that’s Jess’ D4 on a trailer behind Clive’s G4. His crank failed a few days before the D3’s. Pic taken on Sept 10 when Ian and Clive “popped over” to trailer them to Alltrack.MY2008 D3 - It got me hooked...gone

Deffo living life on the ragged edge! Don’t forget there are other ways of killing a D3 engine, mine spun its bearings at 166k miles.

Got back to work today after a week off to find my D4 had been recovered in after it cut out and wouldnt restart.
I have had a quick look and i think the crank has snapped, will find out for sure as soon as i clear my back log of other jobs.

The crank wont turn so its either the crank, belt or a timing chain thats failed. I only did the belts a month ago when i replaced the manifolds. At least i dont have to pay for the repairs.
