Ben's D3
afternoon all,
I've just become the owner of a Disco 3 -TDV6 HSE.
it's in ok condition, but has a few things that I'd like to sort fairly soonish.
I don't think it has bluetooth as I presume this message suggest that a phone kit has to be installed instead?
the rear pull over cover fixtures appear to have been broken, so need to figure out if I can fix that somehow....
and final one is to fix the mats in place some how - presumably there are some fixings which go into the carpet below these?...
Other than that I am having the rear windows tinted (as I transport equipment I'd rather people not see from the outside)
Am also keen to get DAB installed, but rather than have an additional controller stuck on the dash I would prefer to have something hidden away behind the dash that is controlled through the original unit.
thoughts on that also welcome.
Does landrover have technical parts drawings you can download to get part numbers for ordering?

Thanks Geoff!
And thanks for the mat fixings link.
Other thing I forgot to mention is that the car was previously owned by a smoker.
Any tips for getting rid of the smell??

I feel for you with that problem. A few years ago I fell in love with a Jag that had been owned by a smoker. Tried everything I could think of to clear the smell, including steaming the inside and then running a dehumidifier. Nothing got rid of the smell. Couldn't mask it either, despite trying numerous pleasant smelling devices. The car didn't stay with me all that long, I had to get rid - couldn't stand the smell any longer. I wouldn't buy another car from a smoker.
