With the huge popularity of twin cab now they really are losing a market - I see so many Ford Ranger, Isuzu D Max, even seen a Mercedes version (linked up with Nissan Navara) and a Fiat one!!!

20k? You can double or even treble that. Anything will be a lifestyle vehicle for those that want to feel rufty-tufty, rather than farmers or foresters. There is no money in the hairy-arsed end of the market and they have now become used to reliable utility vehicles from points east. LR abandoned these peeps a long, long time ago, it just took them many years to figure out how to shut down the Deafner production line.

Got myself a bit excited thinking we may get some facts about the Defender in next few days. I want to see a LWB with a nice square back end, manual tailgate, plush interia/tech upfront and decent Engine choices

Fingers Crossed, especially on the electric option. LR should deploy it like BMW, our I3 is a REX (range extender) has a small petrol generator that charges the battery when its hits 4% you can drive indefinitely without loss of performance through the electric drive train. If it’s going to use the tech fitted to the Velar and D5, it’s definitely going to end in tears
