Led Light bar fitted!!!!
So I have now owned my discovery 3 for just over two months, absolutely love it! This week I have fitted my RLD sump guard, and also my 32" 180w curved LED light bar! This required bumper removal to drill and mount the light bar mounts into the bumper! I went out on a few byways last night and it's fantastic! I would really recommend the one I purchased, as I said its curved and fits the curve of the bumper perfectly and looks like it was made for it! I will post pics this weekend!
Next mods are removing side steps (already bent one in a rut) would anyone recommend rock sliders? And either the flush ones or the step type?
Also would love the black D4 rear lights but cannot warrant £475 so if anyone knows of any please let me know!!
Cheers
Nick

Steps are rubbish; they bend, rust, the trim falls off and winter snow can freeze you inside.
For me tree sliders have the strength for off-road and practical enough to use as steps. Prospeed have a version that accept plastic inserts to turn them into fully-fledged steps yet retain full off-road and winter capabilities.
No pics = never happened.

Whilst I don't have a smart phone according to my wife (I have a BlackBerry), I am sure you can upload from an iPhone as there are lots of Apple users on here Andy

Do you have a link for that bar is the curve does appear to match the D3 exactly?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Thank you, yes the camera doesn't do it justice! You cannot look at it its that bright! I wanted the 42" 240w but it would have been too long for the space in between the head lights!

Also I have xenons so the pic of the front with it turned on gives a good indication how much more crisp the light is!

Where did you put the switch? The lights don't appear to be e marked so I assume you've not wired off witches main beam?Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

No it's wired separately, they would be far too bright to switch on on road, you cannot look at it when it's on, the switch is mounted under the steering wheel, some people have wired them with their full beams on other vehicles but I haven't found any d3s running anything similar so didn't want to risk chopping into the factory loom! So it runs by itself!
