Just had a new one fitted by the dealer at cost (still £66.26 though). Drove 30 miles home at no more than 60mph to find that the two centre fasteners were hanging down and the left corner had come un-clipped
Checked mine today , it is still on the car, after 4 months of car use

Service Action Q562 -Tow Eye Cover
About time! It would appear they have admitted the fault although it seems they don't recognise the full extent of the problem as my vehicle doesn't come within the range of VINs. It has and still does exhibit this fault even though the cover has been replaced with presumably a newer design cover.

Mines still on - only because I've used self amalgamating tape - even now though, it needs pushing back up tight every few days (although the gap is much less than before) - as opposed to continuously beforehand...... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Just because there is a fix out for it didn't mean they have fixed the problem. That will only be known with time.

The reality is that they have taken a decade to acknowledge that there is an issue, not that there is a 'fix' as such Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Yes I can see now that he is referring to the thread I put up... Didn't read that far up tbh 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
