olemisery, dont worry,be happy and enjoy
Seems a bit below average for a D3, have you got a rack?, if not, wind down the window and crawl forward, listen for any effects, rubbing from the EPB. With the amount of salt on the roads it seems to play havoc with mine releasing too. Having the EPB cleaned soon, 1st time since manufactuer.
Mine has every conceavable non aerodynamic bolt on and does'nt help the MPG, but I am getting between 27-30 mpg depending how I drive, but dropped to 23 lately as the EPB isnt releasing properly.

Bog standard HSE used for commuting (50:50 Town & A road). Over past 7k miles, best tank returned 24.59mpg. Worst 21.24mpg. Average 22.72mpg. The fuel computer averages 17% better than average so I do the calcs manually based on miles and fuel put in tank to fill each time. Have used Tesco's finest diesel to date but have swapped to Shell V-Power for the next 2k miles to see if it makes any difference.

And don't forget you get 3p per litre off (well 3% of price to be precise) Shell fuel if you use this credit card at Shell stations.

28K miles..average is 25MPG mixture of Motorway/ A roads and B roads / country lanes etc
BUT when towing twin axle 3.5 ton trailer down to between 17 to 22MOG depending what I am towing.....
Overall MPG could be better but its a bog car and wonderfull to drive to I accept it.. If i was that "green" and MPG concious then I would have bought a Ford Ka! (well TWO of them one for each foot!!!-oh are they not like roller skates then???LO)

Average 39k miles per annum and get about 30.5 mpg. Really pleased.
Did a return trip to Alps in Janaury with fully laden car and ski carriers on roof, pushed it a bit on motorsways at around 80-85 mph and still got 28.4mpg.

2007 Tdv6 auto with 37000k, getting 9.7 l/100 k, mixture of city, freeway, hilly country, and tracks. Very happy with that2007 TDV6 SE Stornoway Gray
Llams Ride Height Controller, Traxide dual battery system,
I am interested in when people are quoting their comsumption figures if they are taking them from the digital read out or actually working their own figures out based on fuel used and milage covered. I am regularly getting 27-29 mpg on the computer, but when I came to fill up last night, the 27mpg I thought I was getting was nearer 23mpg when I calculated it manually. It seems the computers are regularly inaccurate, is this the same for everyone, and are land rover basing their figures on the computer???
My disco is an 07 TDV6 SE, still worth the 23mpg too.07 SE in Java, lovin it too!!

Well on my trip its reading about 16.8 round town and best of 26.2 on a steady 70mph run to NEC and back (240 miles) stock everything on an 55 plate HSE with no rack
I'm still going to put the expo rack on next week and just keep
Does anyone think a remap would make things better or worse??90 Defender(Daughter driving at the mo)

My MY08 SE Auto is happily averaging 30mpg - the MY06 S Auto I just got rid of was doing 21-25 - there is something better about the newer ones (EURO IV engines )Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

And I just bought another 06!!! Still JMC will have loosened it up nicely.
With my TurboChip I was getting 30MPG+ if I drove like DSL a grandad......... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
