Mrs B ordered me to the pub before any more damage to the D3 or my knuckles.

Got my BIL in tomorrow after his shift so I'm praying he can sort it.

Beginning to fall out of lurve.

its ALIVE,

bro in law has worked his magic.

Initially he popped round to see what tools etc with a plan to do it tomorrow.

Martin had already undone the old alternator and it was just lying in the recess.

Bro in law worked it out via the undertray Gap (had removed undertray earlier to retrieve bolts n stuff)

So he took the same route with the new one, 30mins later belt back on and air ducts re connected.

Fired first time so I guess the battery is ok, going for a run tomorrow but its pumping out 14.8 at the fag socket doofer.

Huge respect to my chap, his mum has just been given 3 weeks to live, that's why I didn't want to hassle him about is.

Massive thanks to Martin for all his help with this one, I could see him getting ever more fed up with it!

Also a big thanks to Geoff, bp and all you lot for the support.

What a great forum and a really top set of helpful chaps!

Time for a cold one!
