Likewise, thanks for the thorough write up. Hardest bit was getting the damn polystyrene bit back in.There are two rules for success,

Wow new to all this, but by luck I've got one of those jacks already in the garage. I also have a Land Rover one too. Will have too try them both out to see which one is best.
The merc jacks come from the company that make the Acardo vans, as the drivers are not allowed to use them.

Yes may do. I assume from this post that the merc one is the best one to have? Any idea?

The land rover one is supposed to be the best, but very hard to get a good one, I got the merc one as plenty about, but that's your choice if you have both

Is that a Discovery jack, or a Defender jack though? Or are thy the same?
The Defender one has the U section on the top, to cup the axle, I assume that is not the best for a D3?

I want a Disco2/Defender jack as it has the U bracket to locate on the live axle. You would think the Merc jack is better quality, but I have no experience of either.
I also think the height of the jacks may be different.

They are different heights whilst collapsed, I know that bit.
Will check it when home.

Bit of a resurrection but wanted to thank Sacimiddx for taking the time to post his photos and the write-up of this mod. Did mine last weekend following the same cutting lines and the new Sprinter jack now sits perfectly in the cubby with no rattling at all - result!Previously owned an '08 D3 HSE in Stornoway grey but jumped ship to see what the Swedes have to offer.
