Superb modification, just one question:
I notice that you have not removed the cradle at the top of the jack to expose the pin that fits into the jacking point of the Disco. Is there another safe place on the vehicle to use the jack as is, or are you still intending to remove the cradle?

Thanks for the pics just done this myself and all is well.
For anyone else considering this mod - I listed my standard jack and tool kit on eBay and made £50 which more than covered the cost of the bottle jack and draper extending wheel brace

I carry a good jack and stands, but even I would not change a wheel on a motorway. You will find me up the grass bank with a bag to sit on, a LR brolly above me, warm clothes around me and my mobile in hand watching a bloke with big flashing lights do it for me.

Ditto, but no brolly and would forget the bag. But would have my flask & cuppa.

Did the "storage Mod" this morning & now have the Sprinter Jack & Draper wheel wrench snugly stored in my D3
Interesting little ditty though. Rather than hack at the original foam storage pod, I ordered a new one from my dealer to modify instead. That way if (or when) I trade my D3, I can pop back in the original pod complete with scissors jack etc. & keep the modified set up for a new car.
However the new storage pod I got was slightly different than my original one, or indeed the one shown here on this thread. So the cutting instructions were not quite the same & my new pod required a bit of extra trimming, along the height of the bottle jack cylinder. All went well in the end, but might worth pointing out that not all foam pods are the same.

Modded the foam storage bit, jack now sits nice and snug with the extendable wheel brace and other bits in the storage pod.
