D4JWW, you're right I think many sizes of Duratracs have white lettering. Certainly one of my Jeep owning friends Duratrac's do, see 3rd pic in this thread:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic84357.html

But as AJS said the 255/55/19 is a little more subtle Smile

P.S The Duratrac's on the Jeep coped admirably on the rocky/stony terrain as did my Pirelli ATR's, with no sidewall damage to either.

if you are going to buy tyres with white wall lettering - put the white lettering on the inside, as after a few ruts they look crap with the lettering on the outside !!

For us it's about a 60/40 split in favor of OWL on the outside as it's for looks and not that many use their 4x4's off road.

Always makes me smile when we have a very well sorted 110 or similar in for tyres/work and they want the best available, but when asked what trips they have done answer "it never goes off-road, maybe a little camping", seems a wast but we all like different thing in life.

You better belive it, have seen so many fantastic Disco's and Defender's etc over the years and some I just can't get my head round how much money has been spent.........free world so spend your money on what floats your boat.

The plus side is a few get a fantastic bargain as and when they decide to sell on. Thumbs Up

Bit of an off shoot of the thread but whats the latest thinking about swapping tyres front to back?
Not a huge difference tread wise on our AT'S but just wondering.
