Sorry to resurrect an 5 year old thread...

There is not much to share. I tried to put a how-to together, but access is very limited, and the pictures are sh*t. Cant really see what is happening, and it wouldnt be worth showing how its done on the floor, as its nothing like doing it on the car...

From the bottom, and side.

You need to remove the undertrays, part of the front subframe, and the diff mount bracket from below.
You need to break off the little heat shield around the actuator and arm, to allow access to them
From the side, you need to remove the heatshields, and on one car, it helped to remove the turbo oil feed pipe

Flexi-ratchet spanners, and long screwdrivers help, as does a 2nd pair of hands.

The bolt is in in bottom end, and is a ball-socket type fitting at the top. Just lever it off, and push it back on

Hi Disco_Mikey & others!

I would gladly make an appointment to bring my Disco to you and pay to have this done... however I'm near Cape Town in South Africa Rolling Eyes

I'm in the process of replacing that link arm.. but now I'm stuck... I cannot see what needs to come off next to get access Big Cry

This is what I have from the side at the moment:

Is this even the correct Sub-Frame piece to remove?

Is this the correct Diff mount bracket to remove?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

I'm no expert in this but it looks like you have gone in from underneath, I went in through the wheel arch... I' not sure if it can be done that way.

Thank you for the reply Treeiup, yes I have those removed to try and get "a hand" in from underneath. However, the turbo photo above is taken from the wheel arch side. But I cannot get to the actuator bolt from either side at the moment.
