Spoke to my mate who has the cameras in his D4. He doesn’t have the venture cam capability so I’ve disabled the setting. Still no camera button on the home screen tho. Some pics from his vehicle

Update from Gap.
******
This is done via the CCF. The problem is that I do not know which setting it takes on a 2010-2011.
Anything related to the entertainment system update is done via the Nav port and cannot be done via OBD by a regular diagnostic tool like an IIDTool. CCF wise, which makes button appear normally, it via the CCF.
******
So the question now is, can we get an ccf file and how to upload it to the vehicle
There is a connector Hidden under steering. With it, the dealer can update your satnav. But we don’t need the dealer

I have the navigation module from my donor vehicle. Let me fit it quick and see. I assume it should have the right software in it.

So is he saying that it can’t be done on the 2010 and 2011? As I’ve done it on a 12MY it must be different if that’s the case. I’ve been through my records and can’t find my CCF changes so I’m having a play now.
Anyone know if it’s possible to export your original CCF from the IID tool? It’s saved there but I want to view it and compare to my current edited version.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

So since my vehicle is from Dubai, I wanted to upload the European maps. The dealer told me that I need a new CD player. He said they are connected together. You can try swapping the CD player.
I ended up changing the sat nav from eBay with built in eu maps.

Unfortunately I dont have the CD player. But I doubt that is the case. One of the plugs on the back of the Nav module is the update cable and the hard drive is in the nav module

The BCM has the CCF, the FCDIM (Screen, should keep an abridged version in case something goes wrong). I’m not convinced by Pats answer, I just don’t think he has the time to invest in searching. I just wish I could download and view my saved CCF on the IID.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

Hmm. BMC unit. Didn’t expect this one. Swapping bmc definitely won’t work.
I presume also that Patrick too busy now. Hopefully he could somehow help soon or later.

I’m also not convinced. There is a setting we haven’t got right somewhere.

I never got the cameras to work and I suspect the issue lies within the canbus/MOST interface. Swapping the CD unit was my best bet for success but getting one from a camera equipped vehicle has been difficult.

Started testing surround camera stuff to go in a mates car..
I already have surround cameras in mine , so wired in a new module and used my exsisting ccf to make sure in principle it will work ...which it did
Just need to set up his ccf for surround cameras then give them a quick test before the hard work of routing all the wires
Made up the connector which goes in back of screen and down to the camera module ...all working great
Car in bits (again )
taking power and can bus signal from diagnostic port for testing
