Wiggs - I'm new on the forum (and resident in Australia) but am interested in the additional cameras for my RRS MY2012 - which I think is same electronically as the D4 ?
The website below says they have kit to add cameras to factory install D4 or 2010 onwards RRS:-
Do you know anything about it and whether it would work ? I'm a bit nervous because
I have just sold a MY2007 RRs and had a GVIF NavVideo system on it connecting rear view camera, camera in horse float and camera on back of horse float - worked beautifully throught the factory GPS system - but doesn't work with 2012 version and no-one over here seems to have come up with a solution !
Can I purchase a surround camera box aftermarket so I can just plug into 2012 system ?
Your help much appreciated as wife wants to take horses out to the beach and I want to go fishing !!
Regards
Terry

The link you sent deffinatly works on 2010MY onwards ... Not 100 % about 2012 though as the infotainment system was all changed in that year
You do have to take the screen apart to fit the interface .. But not difficultG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs - that interface isn't configured correctly for the 2012 screen - but I took photos of the 2012 screen back and connections if that is of use to you or anyone on the forum and I've send them to HIDs4U so they can work on changing connections so it works on 2012 RRS and D4.
I'll let you know what happens.
How do I upload those photos to this forum ?
Can one purchase the surround camera system from an aftermarket source and then connect my float cameras to it ?

From what I can see there are a number of connections that piggy back onto original connections so that a switch can operate video onto the sat nav screen without interfering with the original screen operation.

That is the circuit boards from the HIDs equipment - the right hand side board (Bottom) has the touch screen (top black bit) connecting in from the top - wheras my screen requires connection from the left - see photo 1 on previous email.
How do I upload photos onto this forum ?

CCF edit to enable camera?
Hi,
Just wondering how easy it is to edit the CCF to enable the video inputs behind the HLDF on an '06 RRS ? Would a dealer do this and how much would they charge or does anybody know of an OBD connected piece of software that allows reading and editing of CCF?
Thanks!

You can enable them .. But they will only work when the correct LR tv / DVD is connected ( other wise they stay grayed out once enabled )
Search for black box solutions for the CCF tool ... You need a faultmate msv2G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
