You won’t get a picture if you haven’t got the video line connected but you should get a camera icon in the extras page. What module are you using and you will need to replace the rear camera (if you already have the reverse camera only) as it works on the CAN and the surround reverse camera works on a LIN via the module.

Yes I have the original reverse camera.
The module I am using is AH4214F026AH.
I see 2 different choices in gap tool at parking aid. 2010-2011 and a 2012 selection. In 2012 I do see corner cameras. At 2010 only rear or both. I don’t know what to activate actually.

Your module sounds like the correct year as a AH is 2010. I’ve not done a 2010 upgrade but the system is pretty much the same from 2010 to 2013. There’s about 6 CCF edits and most are in the untested list so if you don’t have access to that you need to contact GAP.

You should have, Park Assist Camera (tested), Parking Camera (tested), Side Camera (untested), Front Parking Camera (untested), Camera Module (untested), Park assist Camera (untested). I’m pretty sure there’s one I’m missing that is something along the lines of “Image Processing Module B” but I can’t find it. There’s another board member doing the same thing so maybe he will get in touch here with how he’s getting on.

When you say you see 2012 corner cameras I think you’ve got the wrong CCF, that edit will be for PAM which is your parking aid module and is for the sensors rather than surround cameras.

I’m also busy with the retrofit on a 2010 model and have been chatting to M3bobby. I’ve fitted the module and it’s alive. I get fault codes generated by the module because I have no cameras plugged in yet. It also says camera system fault on the dash when I start.

I’m struggling to get the camera button on the screen. I’m missing 2 settings in my CCF that need changing. Both are to do with the change to image processing module B. I’ve chatted to Pat @ GAP and he is having a look to see if he can find a solution.

Thanks M3bobby, I just send an email to Patrick from gap. Hopefully he can help with the ccf file by IID tool.

How did you wired the module?

You can either wire in as it should be or you can test the idea using the diagnostic port. All you need is a Pos, Neg and the 2 CAN wires.

Yes I have found the diagnostic wiring, + , ground an the 2 can wires. I am missing the original plug that goes in the module. I saw a few pics online. Seams like, from left to right, 12v / can /can / ground.

I can’t exactly see what high can and low can. Can someone confirm it? Or picture from the plug in the module befor I fry the electric ?

I bought the complete body harness from the donor vehicle so I don’t have to make up any cables..I’m also going to the audio upgrade.

The connection for the module is easy. The canbus goes into a splice in the harness very close to the passenger seat( right hand drive vehicle)

Here are some pics

Good news, GAP appear to have updated the IID BT as I’ve now activated the camera Icon on the extras screen. Tomorrow (when it’s warm) I’ll cut the Leoni Dacar 302 cable and put a FAKRA on it and see if the other parts come up on the screen.

I am using gap too but can’t activate the extra menu.

The parking aid is the wrong setting to change. You need to write to GAP and ask them to activate the untested settings for you. What model is your vehicle? SE or S ? I’m wondering what the IBOC setting refers to as I’m my car is set as not fitted
