No, the module has other functions like controlling the LIN and interfacing with the parking aid module.

Good news, GAP appear to have updated the IID BT as I’ve now activated the camera Icon on the extras screen. Tomorrow (when it’s warm) I’ll cut the Leoni Dacar 302 cable and put a FAKRA on it and see if the other parts come up on the screen.

I have a full description of the parking and camera system on pdf. I have the 4 pin cameras so 2 power and 2 can per camera. I think it would be great and handy if someone can create a list with numbers to make ordering easier.

If you can hold off for a while, I’ll create a “how to with numbers”.

Good news, I cut the Leoni Dakar cable, fitted the FAKRA and I now have the cameras on the head unit. The overview image is of an L405 which from above looks like the L320 so I can live with that. After the wife’s dragged me out I’ll try and put a camera in it to see how it looks.

Put a camera on last night and now have an image, I also have trailer assist come up to. The only problem I’m going to have is sourcing the cables as the connectors are not available separately.
The images are dark as it was about 8pm and a little fuzzy as the FAKRA I used was a tad to small and wouldn’t fit very well.

It really wasn’t hard, I’ve spent more time finding parts (i.e. not paying LR prices or parts LR won’t sell) and researching how to activate the correct files. The L320 file has been updated on the GAP tool so L319 should be the same. I was also told I couldn’t fit a later 6 pin camera module as the CAN was different to the L320, well it works fine so I don’t see why it shouldn’t work for any module.
When I’m finished I’ll post a how to with part numbers and suppliers and if someone would like some details, PM me.

M3bobby, does the surround camera works with LR4 2010?
I have wired the surround module only power and can high low. So I thought after doing the changes in GAP the surround screen function should pop-up when selecting reverse, right? Or do I need to connect the video signal too?
Also the module came without the power plug. So I wired the pins without plug. From left to right, red+, can high, can Low, black.
I thought the sat nav will automatically recognise that the module has been connected and a different screen will pop up. Hopefully you can advice.
