Have you or Winger got any background on the wiring designations to the ECU multiplug as I will try and find out from the Techs which exact wire it was on mine.
This is not to say that it could be any of them on other cars, it would be worth the chaps checking the whole lot in the multiplug on any car that is getting errors.
Yessir! Would be interesting to know which wire it was,

1. Please see P.S.
2. Where is the ECU located?
There are lots of ECUs! Which one did you have in mind?

It is behind the instrument panel, on the driver's side 'A' post, as in just forward of the door.

Just been driving when a loud pop from the back end and "Suspension Fault". After limping home, found a trail of silica gel crystals coming out of the suspension compressor casing. Does this mean i need a new compressor or is the drier a seperate bit? Anyone know if it is an expensive repair?

YOUR VEHICLE WAS A DEMO, CHANCES ARE THAT SOMEONE SPILT A BEVERAGE INTO THE A.T.C.M. THIS COULD CAUSE AN INTERMITTANT FAULT AS THE CIRCUIT BOARD CORRODES. REMOVE THE TRIM & CHECK FOR FLUIDS IN THE CENTER CONSOLE. IT'S A COMMON ISSUE. I BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE LOW MILES, SO I DON'T THINK THAT THE COPRESSOR IS THE ISSUE.

Hello HIGHSTAL2
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post but you comments bear no relationship to the fault. It WAS the compressor that had failed and I got it repaired under warranty

Hugh I suspect he's replying to the incident above from 2005 where there was an ECU issue

Suspension Fault Warning 2005 Disco 3 |
|
Hi - Looks like I have got problems described in this section, noticed Yellow warning light on yesterday with message Suspension fault - out of interest I lifted the car and dropped to access hieght - which it still did but with a message saying "Suspension raising slowly" - Dealer said sounds like compressor has gone / going - can this issue be fixed now .... and any idea on the cost?

NO JACK HERE
Or replace the bottom plastic shield by a new model which now has a "No jack here" logo on it!

Hi Surfer,
I've just experienced the same problem - was it the compressor? And, how much did you pay to get it fixed?
Cheers
