Disco3 strikes again. Read about this last night, thought I'd check at lunch break, so took my tools with me.
Glad I did! I was around the 28mpg mark on commute and 30 on a run. It was slow to respond at setting off, seems much better now, and got 30mpg on the way home, we like that
It's done a mere 136000 miles, still has egr valves and is standard throughout - including the gearbox judder So far - 4X4 Info~3 Flash Indicators~2 Video inputs~Bluetooth Music~Dr-T~Fridge~Phone Update~SatNav on the move~Clock on Dash~Black in and out~Window Tints
To Do - LED lights in and out~Black wheels (maybe 18's?)~new grille and and rear lights

Recently the disco had a hissy fit, all the warning lights and messages came up and went into limp mode. Clear after restarting, obtained a brake light switch just in case. However read this and checked the MAP sensor, really gunged up. Cleaned and now driving like new with its remap. So thank you for the info, again a really useful forum.Nick

What a brilliant post, couldn't believe the crud! Noticeable improvement on acceleration pick up- yet to check mileage as was already getting an average of 32.7mpg

Ive cleaned MAF sensors on previous vehicles without issue etc, and being a gas service engineer, know my way around test gear and a toolbox.
So after cleaning my partially dirty (but not blocked) MAP sensor and getting very little if any improvement, I decided to also clean both MAF sensors as well. Fantastic improvement in the low rpm pick up and overall acceleration too. Well chuffed!
So WHY OH WHY did I decide to re-clean the MAP sensor again... This time on replacing it back in 'Restricted Performance', yellow engine and red triangle warning lights. Damn!
After much checking connections and measuring voltages etc, I ordered a new MAP sensor from Advanced Factors. It duly arrived as usual with excellent communication. So now Restricted Performance has gone, the red triangle has gone, acceleration is back, but the yellow engine light remains. Hoping its a calibration issue for a few miles. Can anyone offer some reassurance? TIA
