I cleaned mine 45k ago, was gunky but not totally blocked. Cleaned it again today, gunky again and hole completely clogged. Car was very sluggish, still doesn't feel totally right after cleaning but noticeably better with much improved gear selection (assume good data from sensors = better decisions about gear selection in ECU).
I might buy a brand new sensor and keep the old one as a roadside spare.

Does the gunk inside the intake ever cause a problem? When i last cleaned the map sensor I scraped some of it out before refitting the sensor.

The intake is fairly big so unlikely to be blocked to the point it causes an issue? Not sure.
MAP sensor on the contrary has a ridiculously small aperture. It's much bigger on the D4 sensor. So presumably someone knows this is an issue over at LR.

My MAP sensor was caked not as bad as some on here though but it was still smooth, not blowing any black smoke with plenty of power. EGRs aren't blanked haven't had car long enough but I think ill do it at next service after seeing how cruddy the sensors getting.
I cleaned it haven't had a chance to drive it but it seems exactly the same other then I can definitely hear the turbo whistle a lot more whether that's a good thing or not will remain to be seen

Just remember not to stick anything into the hole.....there's a diaphragm in there that you could damage....flush it out with something like contact cleaner and let it drain/dry before refitting "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
