This is where you need an iidtool in your toolbox. Check the fuses in the engine bay. One could have popped for a maf sensor which would bring on the EML on the dash.

Also added 250ml of 2 stroke....will see if it makes a difference
I can't blank my EGR's yet as I don't think you can for a 2008 D3......so re-map next, but need to save for this

Had a few hours off this afternoon, in laws round to see kids so had a few mins in between the list of jobs I'd been kindly given by swmbo
Whilst there I gently placed a screwdriver into hole and cleared more carbon, is there any products recommended to spray down there to clean it all?
Ps. Forgot to take a clean photo!!!2000 Freelander. Sold
1998 discovery 300 tdi. Sold
2002 Volvo XC90. Sold
2007 discovery 3 hse.

My 2009 is in at the moment having the EGR's blanked after the light kept coming on, having a remap at the same time. The Techie was telling me that the remap/patch tells the ECU that the EGR's are "not fitted".
Picking it up tomorrow, looking forward to trying it out. Had the car from new, best car I've ever had.
By the way the remap is by "Quantum Advanced ECU Software"
Wills57 Golf Gti 2.0 Turbo.
95 Honda ST1100 Pan European.
1972 Honda CB750 K2.
Just cleaned mine on 110k miles MY07 D3 - it was really gunned up like the 'before' pics everyone has shared, the car does seem to be more responsive, can it really make such a difference so quickly?! Any suggestions on how often to clean it out? Or just good practise to check if the garage did it after a service and if not just DIY since it's so simple to do?
