Happened to me too!! Sacrifices have to be made.
Posted this on The Dark Side, not a lot of interest (well none apart from Tim commenting I'd got my fingies oily) but they can get their domestic staff to sort it out!

[THANKS Syd !!!]
Cleaned it with 'wasbenzine' don't know english term [cleaning/white spirit ?]. Normally used to clean paint brushes or to dilute paint. Only dipped the filthy bit in it ; son't know what it does to the plastic... Wiped with paper towel ; done... 3 minutes work!

Bushwanderer ; nope that's what we call 'Terpentine'... I think that 'Benzene' comes nearest... Always thought it to be quite harmless [smels nice] ..but benzene ... is carcinogenic..].
Syd ; why 'rub-it-in' why not pm-me and tell be how the *!^@%?! trick works... please ...?

I checked my MAP sensor today. 56 plate with 95K. EGRs blanked by BAS 18 months ago. Sensor was pretty clean, just some light oiling, certainly not blocked up.
