and so you prove my point..... why do you need sat nav when you just plot a course from point a to b and away you go .... in a straight line Laughing

My 2006 LR3 was supplied with a 2005 SATNAV DVD. Is this common or should I complain for a newer one?

Excellent, cheers VA! Smile So how do we go about obtaining our blank dvds then?

Did anything ever come of the offers to circulate "blank" dvds, or have I missed a thread/post on this?
In return, a site donation seems like a great idea to me. For those of us trying to get by with Stone Age data on our Sat Nav screens, the chance to, errr, evaluate YIW500200 would be most welcome!

You can circulate blank DVDs, circulating copies would be illegal

yes I agree and the suggestion of such a thing should be frowned upon... who ever suggested an evaluation version should be ashamed.

I have made copies of the new YIW500200 and tested it all day today..works with no problems at all.
Would i be frowned upon if i were to offer these back up disks for sale on these forums for a small fee (obviously as a back up of the one you already own..and don't have the duel layer burner / or know how ..)
Anybody interested ...what would you say would be a reasonable price !!!
Gotta be worth having a copy to save your original!!

New map disk and Sat Nav on the move code

Has anyone managed to get the sat nav on the move crack code 1791 to work with the updated map disc? Mine used to work on the previous YIW500013 disc, but no longer works on the YIW500200 disc. I notice on the system screen that the nav system software has also been updated from the previous date of ??/??/04 to ??/??/06 (can't remember the actual dates) and this has disabled the hack. The disc is fitted to an 06MY SE with a June 06 build date.

The code was handy, especially as the nav system seems to totally dislike B roads, and needs on the move adjustment to avoid certain roads. Not good when you live in the country and it wants to send me home via the A roads that add on loads more miles. My old TomTom Nav 5 was much better at dealing with country areas but not so good in the built up ones.

Thanks

Check your nav set-up, if you've got major roads as a preference it'll try it's best to use them
