This looks like what i am after.
Im having pairign issues in my 07 HSE D3 with a blackberry 9780. It accepts the code (2121) pairs, but then fails. It is saved and remembered in both the phone and car, and very occasionaly works.
Would an enchange help this?
Thanks,
Matthew

Hi,
is there a factory 'fixed' BT module part number? A mate of mine has a new in the box BT module that may fix the problem I have or will it be the same software revision as my current problematic unit?
If it's the same can I send it in to you for software upgrade? If so at what cost?
Cheers,
Vic

what problem are you having ?
your profile says 2008 ...in which case you should have the contacts over bluetooth ....and should not realy have pairing issues either
There is at least half a dozen part numbers for the modules ....your best of letting me know which you ( yor mate ) have G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi,
I had a Nokia N95 that worked fine.
Then I got a Blackberry 9700 that worked OK until I upgraded the phone operating software to version 6 then it would not pair or connect correctly. Going back to version 5.x operating system fixed it!
Then I switched to a SAMSUNG Galaxy II and it will pair then be unreliable then not work at all. If I turn off the phone BT then turn it back on, un pair, then pair it works for a while then it stops working.
The LR BT module my mate has is part number XVJ 500131 I'm not sure what the part number of the one fitted to the Disco is.
Have you seen these issues before?
Cheers,
Vic

Your mates is quite old ...they went up to XVJ 500420 . ( and a couple in ford format aswell)
The last LR software update was around end 2008 / 2009 ...after that they changed modules for a different type.
you could have a look what model yours is ...and i suspect it will be newer than your mates .
Unfortunatly there are so many software versions for phones ...its very hard to give a deffinate answer .
Your best bet may be to go for a module out of a D4 G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi,
OK, what about replacing my D3 BT module with a D4 one?
Would it give me better compatability with newer phones?
Also what other advantages would it have?
Are they available?
Cheers,
Vic
