Mine being posted back as well today.....all seems good so far!
I know this is a D3 forum Wiggs but on my RRS at least, a Torx bit made life much easier. Maybe my hands are too big for a RR and I should go back to a Disco!
Thanks again.

Auto connection problems with D3 bluetooth
Hi Wiggs
I have a 05 D3 HSE which the Bluetooth system worked fine with my older Nokia but now I have got an iPhone 4 it pairs fine but when the engine is turned off and back on again it will not auto pair and the password needs to be entered every time.
From reading your information I thought that I had finally found the solution to my problem but the password that I use is 0000. From your info it seems that I have an aftermarket system fitted even though it has the original steering wheel controls fitted.
Are you able it help me with a solution for the system I may have fitted and were it may be located?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Joe

cant do much with the aftermarket kit unfortunatly .....
best thing would be to rip it out and fit a proper bluetooth module (factory fit one ) ...
your old kit has a bluetooth module and a control module ( to get it to intergrate with the car ...there located here ....ignore the yellow arrows )

Thanks for the information you are 100% right.
So is it as straight forward as removing the current system and installing one of your factory fit units?

you need to install a new module ...connected in via a MOST cable ..
connect some power to the module .
you can use the same phone buttons
you can use the same voice button and mic
you will need the new module enabling in the car ccf file
hope you get this message wiggs

Yes by doing a bluefish scan then enter code 2121. It then pairs until car switched off , and have to go through process again when switch on. Once paired can dial out using R R touch screen but address book does not sync with RE bluefish.
