Great
It's like installing new software on a pc .. A reboot is often needed for it to recognise it
LCD display... Either
With no phone related stuff in radio ( ie radio station / cd on display ) pull the green button once then use bottom buttons on the steering wheel ( right hand side below volume )
With phone / bluetooth displayed on radio .. Just use the bottom buttons without pulling the green button.
D3 module will not separate numbers for same name .....D4 module does G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi Wiggs,
I finally made the investment and bought myself an MSV2. I am playing with it for a week now so still a newby. In the ccf settings it says "Fitted with voice control (hosted via the multi-media module)" does that tell you something? Strangely the ccf also says:Cellular Telephone Voice Language:UK English, where as I press the voice control button on the steering wheel, a lady speaks french also a french message appears on the message screen when she can't make anything of my french. Speech control language says "0" in ccf
Concerning the BT on my MY07 D3: without having made any modifications, my iphone's phonebook shows perfectly on the radio screen. I never had pairing issues. But I can't get the phonebook on the message center. Pressing the green button on the steering wheel enables me to redial the last number but that is shown on the radio screen.
How can I check if I have the latest firmware in the bt module with the msv2?
Cheers Bernd

What language is the sat nav set to ..in settings on the touch screen ?
Message center ..answered above
MSV ..if you go into audio / video ...telephone ....settings ..general info ..
That will tell you some software numbers ..which you should be able to locate in the FFLG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi Wiggs,
I can set the Nav to every language I like. Currently it is English. Changing it, has no effect on the voice control button, it remains frensh
Thanks for the tip on the phonebook in the message center. That is all clear now .
I went to the audio/video -> telephone -> settings -> general info. I found some flash files matching my hard and software version. Unfortunately no signs of Dutch so I will have to do with english but that is not too big a problem
Some of the files have NOBTPB and others just BTPB in their name. Could BTPB stand for Bluetooth PhoneBook?
Would these files be flashed into the nav unit? It sounds a bit like bluetooth unit with al the 'BT''s in the names
Unfortunately a problem arouse with my MSV. It all of a sudden started thinking my car is a different vehicle than before and won't write any data to it. It says it is not lisenced. So probably I have to wait for an answer on this issue from Blackbox before I can try flashing anything
Cheers Bernd

Top Right Hand box: Hardware Number: XVJ500410
I just tried to transfer the HW11_BTPB_VOICE_UK_V3_REV_1 to the server but it says "The selected software parts are not all available for transfer"?
Was I going too fast?

Most likely DEU will stand for Deutsch which is unfortunately German.
I am afraid Netherlands is too small a country to make a seperate file for.
Had no idea I had to install the vbf files seperately... No I do thanx
HW11_BTPB_VOICE_UK_V3_REV_1 is flying to the server now.
Hopefully the lisence problem will be solved soon so that I can transfer them to the car

Thought as much
Make sure you download and install
L319_V03 VBF files (Discovery 3)
T5 Common VBF_V03 files (Range Rover Sport/Disco 3 up to 2009)
Be warned ...it will take 45 mins to proggram to the car ...make sure you have some sort of decent battery charger connected up .
Still trying to work out why your voice control is french ..as there is not an obvious setting G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I found L319_vbf_03.exe on the CD, it that the same? That was the first vbf I installed but the needed files were still not found. Then I installed all 4 others, then it worked.
Good of you to mention the charging. I have a Ctek 7000 charger that should do the job doesn't it.
When I look at the specs of my car in Microcat, it specifically mentions a French Voice control module as if it is a fixed language module instead of one that can be set to a different language with a simple setting.
I also have no clue why they would do it that way.

It was just mentioned under "vehicle identification" in the "minor features" tab. No numbers or codes or whatsoever. It just reads "Voice Activated Module - French"
In the spec codes tab there is no mentioning french. There it reads "VOICE INPUT / RECOGNITION SYSTEM [025EZ]"

Flashed the telephone module today.
The flashing went without errors but no success in changing the language though.
The lady still speaks and understands just French.
(I managed to get a response to saying the french equivallent of 'Help' to the system, didn't understand what she was saying to me then though )
Two things on this matter that might be off some interest:
In the ccf, the setting "Cellular Telephone Voice Language" read "UK/English" even before the flashing.
Could this be another indication that the french voice module is somewhere else?
I have layed my eyes on a dutch instruction book and this clearly tells about the system being able to speak dutch and recognize dutch voice commands. So a Dutch module should be available somehow.
