Spent another day on this stoopid project.
Power now taken from Fuse 58.
Tried the bluetooth with docking option again but still not working.
Way I see it there are 2 possible causes;
1. the bluetooth module I bought from the US as being a working tested item is actually broken
2. the CCF is just not updating properly
The Nanocom website has a YouTube video of the CCF update process which is pretty simple. Cannot see how I could be getting it wrong! I did find a thread on the Nanocom forum from mid 2016 that said you also need to use the SYC CCF function. Just for a laugh I tried that but it made no difference.
I did notice a microphone fault code so I looked at the mic wiring and either the plug I found was not the right one or the wires were broken. Rather than dick about I made up a new wire from the mic to the head unit. No more fault code. I was hoping that was why the bluetooth didn't work but alas...
Maybe I need to get hold of a known working module to test #1 rather than keep bothering you lot....

I have recently fitted an LR aftermarket Bluetooth kit to my D3 TDV6 SE (2006) and I am assuming the module is working as my phone can see it and connect. The IHU however cannot and I am not sure if this is a setup issue or if a software update is required.
Any assistance gratefully received.

I have been told that all of the communication between the IHU and the BT module is via the MOST cable. I assume you have that plugged in? (only exists on the premium sounds systems)

aftermarket kit will only show up as" phone " when your in a call ( as long as the 3 wires were connected to the connector on the back of the IHU )...there is no MOST connection on the aftermarket kit
pressing the phone button on the IHU does nothing ...nor will you get any contacts showing
this is all presuming it is the aftermarket kit and you pair with 0000 G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Well I fixed the mic so that is working. The radio has sound (until I unplug the power from the BT module as a test).
I cannot see LANDROVER bluetooth on my phone. Tried all of the CCF options although the one said above is the obvious option (no other cars are listed as using those other options).
Somebody suggested I try turning on Voice Control and turning off Intercom (don't even know what that is). Will give that a go in morning as I have nothing to lose.
He also compared the Nanocom CCF options to that in SDD (whatever that is) and they are the same so I am confident no other settings have been missed.
Pretty much at the point of finding another BT module to try as mine appears to be a dud!

there is another Bluetooth setting in the ccf ...Bluetooth - Bluetooth enabled (should be like this from the factory ..but I would check )
other than a ccf issue , then it can only be the module G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks MK_oz & wiggs
Yes its the aftermarket kit so no MOST and 0000 to Pair. My phone connects to the BT module and the Wheel buttons are recognised by the IHU because when I pull them the IHU responds 'no phone connected. I'll double check that the three wires are in the right sockets, that might be the problem.
Just a couple of questions:
I bought the BT module diretly from LR after a member posted the new part number so it may have more current software but it would be useful to know if it is my phone that is the problem. I have an iPhone 6
Also I assume that CCF files are only relevant to MOST connected but do I need a software update for the IHU or to unlock some settings etc
Thanks again all

Part number LLR006279
The phone connects to the BT so I am guessing the module works and the issue is the IHU picking up the source. I will check the connections but any other thoughts would be useful.

Quick update......after 3 days of not working and without me making any new changes, my bluetooth starting working.
The day before I saw an alpha-numeric bluetooth address quickly flash up on my phone then the next day it was there permanently. I connected at which time it changed to LANDROVER. Paired using 2121 and been all good since (2 days). Strange.
Monitoring it to see if it is an intermitent fault...

Mine is apparently broken too; was it straightforward to swap the cable out of the connector at the head unit? '06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue

Is anyone still offering the kits? I have a 2005 with sat nav and 6 disk changer and voice control. Just need the MOST loop, the D4 module, power/fuse, and the switches.
