Primed, base coated and laquered, just waiting on the laquer drying now and i'll trial fit it against the car either later on tonight or tomorrow depending on how the laquer hardens.

Finished and fitted, though still to decide if i'm going to bond/ stick the D4 section in or leave it as it is. The D4 section actually sits in place quitre tightly, so i'll leave it like this for now, as i still have to flatten the laquer back with P1500 wet & dry then to polish it.

Hi Alan Did you use a spray can from a main dealer for the base coat and if you did so how was the colour match and paint consistency/texture relative to the paint on the bonnet?

Hi Zig, used local automotive paint suppliers to have the paint mixed .ATB

Stunning.
I don't have the skills nor patience for this, is a custom job the only option or can you buy ready made?D3 incl. genuine glass windscreen, front bi-focal headlights, full width rear bumper, self levelling washer bottle contents and audible 'tick tock' indicator stalk

Custom only now I'm affraid as DC4X4 has stopped doing them.
But there's always the ones on e-bay.
Thing is though the bottom spar is also honeycomb.
IMO it just doesn't look right.

Would it be possible to have a quick run down on the painting process, from primer to final coat, any sanding and polishing or laquering?
It would be a big help, thanks.
