Hi... I seem to have a fault that others dont quite have. I have an error saying "Park Brake Fault Auto Release Not Functional". Tried the fix as noted below....
Have you tried
On a long straight quiet stretch of road
Turning off ignition
Wait until (P) on dash extinguishes.
Restart ignition , select low box
Engage reverse
Reverse whilst also keeping an eye on gear indicator
When R appears ..... stop
Engage First .... drive until 1 appears
Engage Second ..... drive until 2 appears
Repeat up through 3,4,5 until 6 th & 6 appears
Stop... Neutral..... Ignition off ..... wait until (P) extinguishes
Ignition on
Change back to High Box
Should be ok now
Someone correct me..its been a while since I did this and am not sure if all the (P) malarky has to be done
But... My (P) never goes out on the dash!!!!
Amber (P) on dash all the time.
My hand brake works perefctly, goes on and off manually but not automatically. Went through above proceedure ignoring the fact that the light never goes off with ignition off and key out and it made no difference. The following is of note so far:
Reverse is slow to show on the dash but it does show.
Rear reverse light is slow to come on but does... 5 m or so.
When I just touch the clutch the reverse light goes out.. and I mean just touch. Reverse is still engaged but no light behind. I can reverse down the drive touching the clutch but no light.
Park brake goes on mnually and goes off manually
Can anyone help... I guess a few questions might narrow things down..
When you just touch reverse does your reverse light go out?
When parked and ignition off and hand brake on is your red (P) light always on?
Can anyone help???? Hope you can.
Plugged in my snap on code reader and it says failure to communicate with transmission module!!

when you are driving in any particular gear does the appropriate gear remain displayed on the dash or does it go out after a second or 2 ?
