This is the place for RANTS?
Well I'm pretty hacked off, I posted in a thread about sump guards. I informed the original poster that sumpguards could be bought from three manufactures to my knowledge: RLD, Mantec and GNVP.
My post was edited to remove the GNVP option (as this post probably will be as well).
I want to know why?
RLD is a site sponsor the others are not, although GNVP were for a while. I don't see why I cannot name all three in fairness. I have got RLD brackets which are great and I has said so on numerous occasions. I have GNVP ladder and sumpguard, also excellent. I don't have anything from mantec but I still listed them.
People post about manufacturers and kit all the time without things being removed, I want to know why my comment was.
I do not work for GNVP and I am not paid by them, or Mantec or RLD. Although I do know Gary and Neil - as do many people on here.

Well this could be a problem. I'm going to be posting an auction for a GNVP ladder in aid of Help for Heroes in the next 48 hours I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

would seem daft if we are not allowed to mention people because they are not sponsors...does that mean I cannot praise Marshalls of Peterborough because Lookers/ Yeovil offer the forum something (no dig at you guys, just an example) or Nene overland as independents because we have TFC?

I can imagine things being a bit 'raw' still, but as they're continuing to trade, then I can't think that every reference to them shoudl be removed.
When JE Engineering withdrew their sponsorship, I was censored for putting a link to the offer they had, but am still able to comment on them but just not the direct link.

stu, it seems to be happening alot at present, a mod and DT were talking in spanish a few days ago but on a thread in the english section, i linked to the spanich section with as a polite joke, the comment was deleted within seconds,, not the first of mine to be deleted and tbh it's why i'm no longer posting here as much...
