If I edit a post, it says Last Edited by....... Shoudln't this same apply to when mods make modifications to other peoples posts (particularly when it changes the context or meaning of some posts???

Not trying to be in any way in the slightest bit Controversial it does seem strange there are no comments by the mods

I havn't ever been effected a post was edited, I would be very and I mean very upset,

I wouldn't have an issue with it so much if it was edited, and I was told it was edited and why, then I could go back and check what had been done. As it is it looks to everyone else as though I wrote something different to what I actually wrote and it makes me look biased towards certain suppliers. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Aything taken out of context could be used in court as slander regardless of what you posted.

So if its changed with no trace, how are you expected to actually remember what you actually wrote in many instances, sure you may think it "looks different" but not actually remember and as already stated could be taken well out of context at some future point and the stamp would say YOU wrote it?????

Surely would expect a time stamp saying something like "modified by.....because......." on it? to give OP a chance to comment back and/or correct any 'misunderstanding'?

I can tell you all now that a mod or admin can easily edit any text on a post without anyone knowing - unless they remember (as I did) or kept a copy of what they wrote. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Like Alan said, we sometimes have to move things to consider them as a team of mods. Things happen very quickly sometimes, with mutiple threads appearing about the same subject.
