Take a look I think you'll agree it was a very fair and even post with no bias towards anyone.

not the first of mine to be deleted and tbh it's why i'm no longer posting here as much....

had a few posts deleted, thought it was in the name tidying up OT comments but if everyone kept stictly OnT then this place would get very boring very quickly. Sad

on the contrary DSL, my last deleted comment was a little poke at the mods for going off topic, pot kettle black and all that....

I thought that if you wanted to speak spanish, then you should do it in the spanish section, otherwise it's just playground secrecy and one upmanship for those that do speak spanish, nothing against the spanish by the way,, i love a san miguel as the next bloke,,, just don't want it on the english page.. I had some Commercial comment removed from a post of mine not so long ago because it read that I was getting free goods( I wasn't ) and it wasn't to the benefit of other forum users for mentioning the suppliers name even though there was an old and a new existing topic of the same product with the suppliers full address on it,it would be interesting though to see how many people did buy chrome tail pipes after my post, it's history now but I was suprised to say the least, I've since bought front and rear badges for my d3

perhaps the moral is not to check on old posts.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Oi AD ! - if you must speak Spanish then move over to www.discotr.es (I wonder if Discotres has anything to do with that...?)
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

I don't go through and check old posts, I came about it by accident, when I was searching for something else. I can't believe how angry I am about this. I feel as though I've been misrepreseneted, but worse than a newspaper, by what appears to be my own words!

Legally by editing a post without notification or identification, the website owner becomes the sole publisher. The disclaimer that they are not responsible for content becomes invalid and everything posted upto this point is solely the responsibility of the site owner.

Something I would not want to be responsible for if there are companies involved, it's a legal minefield. I guess at the end of the day the website is a business so it is protecting it's source of revenue.

Even though it's not my post, it does seem a little underhand to edit a post, which makes a member recommend or favour a product by excluding others.

It may have been a mod who didn't fully understand the instructions about commercial posts or was being over keen.
