My "other" local LR bodshop, Banburys. It was pulled out. Nice job actually but they are pricey. Still I can't tell it has been repaired at all.......the quarter window doesn't leak anymore either if you catch it`with jet wash wrong end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

So filler will stand up to off-roading okay? I haven't been in for estimates yet for the damaged D-pillar (a bit worse than yours Spotter ) - not sure if it's even an option in this case really.
I've been debating costs over long term hold up. I'm worried that filler could result in cracking and chipping off from branches and such. Maybe I'm worrying over nothing? If it can be done this way, I may be able to avoid an insurance claim, just don't want it to come back and bite me later.
I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

SV
that is a hit and a half!!!!
That will take a bit of pulling, the D Pillar is pretty strong apparently...unless the bodyshop was winding me up. Actually impressive how local the damage is and it looks like SV's is the same, doesn't really affect the window or tailgate aperture.end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

I know somebody who would repair that on your drive for a couple of hundred. He only does work in the midlands though.
I had a similar dent no where as big though on the same panel - completly my fault I was loading wood - well chucking wood in the car and misgaged it. he repaired it touched up every stone chip and mopped the car (got rid of all the bramble rash) for £150 took him about 4-5 hours I was well chuffed with the work.
I live in Midlands -do you think he would be able to do this - didn't see stupid concrete plant pot in service station - just touched it up and left for over a year cos I've got £300 total excess and don't want to lose PNCD
