Matt,
Did they have to stand your car upright in gruel to do it?

Shocked Apart from a cricket ball I can't think of any ball game that would produce damage like that. A ladder seems a good shout.

Looks like one big scratch and two smaller above, so something pushed into the pillar from behind, bottom of it pushing all the way in, but top only going halfway before being deflected.

No way anyone carrying or driving what hit it could not have known.

Any fork lifts in the area?

it was in a nearly empty (early Easter Saturday) local leisure centre car park. So not normally anything like a fork lift truck about. So likely to have been a "private vehicle/thing"

Could people have been walking past carrying anything? I'm thinking goal posts, scaffold poles etc? It looks like it's taken quite a thump to do that. b.annoying

I know somebody who would repair that on your drive for a couple of hundred. He only does work in the midlands though.

I had a similar dent no where as big though on the same panel - completly my fault I was loading wood - well chucking wood in the car and misgaged it. he repaired it touched up every stone chip and mopped the car (got rid of all the bramble rash) for £150 took him about 4-5 hours I was well chuffed with the work.

Probably.........it is not hard when you drive a black 4x4..........you have to be in it to annoy people.....

As to Duncster....it is a panel off job to reshape the panel which partly explains the expense and teh window needs to come off anyway as the paint has split right upto it. Spent sometime talking to the bodyshop guy yesterday. They need to check the boxsection inside as well apparently. Not too well up on the structural configuration of the D3, anyone got a cutaway of what it looks like behind there?

Anyway the bodyshop is an impressive place, very clean indeed, looks more like a dealer workshop than most bodyshops I have seen......full of bent new jags Whistle SO I shouldn't complaining about the state of the car when it comes back unlike the last LR bodyshop I had to use Twisted Evil

Where are the third row airbags, are they somewhere behind there or higher up?
