This is a crackin' little guide.
Fuel filter = Done!
Just waiting on replacement fill and drain plugs to arrive so I change the Diff oils
Replaced the fuel filter last night ... in the dark ... whilst it was foggy
It took a little longer than expected I had to completely remove the bracket as the bolt to release the filter had completely seized.
Held the bracket in a vice, drilled the bolt out and the rest was plain sailing (for once!)"Buy a Land Rover" they said ...
"It'll be fun!" they said.

Hi guys,
I'm just about to change my diffs oil and I was wonder - do I need a washer for these plugs or not?
I know for transfer box there are washers on both plugs, but not sure for the diffs.

Transfer box, front and rear diff oil changed yesterday, very dirty with lots of gunk on the diffs. Then front diff seemed overfilled by previous owner, some oil poured out of the filler plug even before opening the drain plug. I've refilled with the recommended 0.6L.
Thanks to the experts on this lovely forum.

Mo - check the diff breather as if its blocked the impression is an overfilled diff or leaky seal

Does a rounded front diff filler plug equate to sealed for life? And yes it was my doing.
Changed the back and the old oil looked just like the new stuff.

It does make it harder to remove but nothing a hammer and chisel can't handle. Get the replacement first

If you or a repairer has access to a welder, you can easily weld a bolt onto the end of it and undo it that way. Easily salvageable.
