My latest project
Stunning...nice one Matt
Now that AndrewS has solved the wheel dilema, do you want me to come around and help you close the bonnet and fit the missing front PDC sensor? Once that's done it looks like it'll be ready for it's MOT
Considering the amount of damage that you fixed on the D3, I'm guessing that this has something we can't see - what's the story?
Cheers and congratulations on the D3 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I bought a USED chassis first and DVLA wanted to Q plate it...
The only way around this was to buy a brand new chassis with a factory VIN stamp and rebuild her again
Its only nuts & bolts

So how is it plated now matt? reg wise21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Thought the chasis was only "x" points and if all other point scoring parts were from the original vehicle then you could avoid a Q plate. Mind, could be talking tosh as my experience was from a mini and they're a bit light on chasis !!"To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Its an 06 plate car and has been stamped with the original VIN so will remain on an 06
Its going to be a long term car so the cost of the chassis just had to be swallowed...I wasnt getting that far to strip it for parts i had to see this project through
Already looking at my next LR project

Iam confused, but thats an easy thing to achieve
If its going to be long term, I understand this as your going to keep it, then why does it matter if it has a Q plate?
