What about getting all the electronics working again You may find lots of faults that will need clearing.
Oh dont forget to blank off the EGR valves In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Looking good.
Couple of Q's
Is that the bolt on points for the body at the front and rear of the sill area.
How many securing points are there?
If more than four, where are they?
Will the D3 not fail an MOT emissions test due to bypass of cat or will you just reconnect for mot ?

Fascinating to see this unfolding, you are a brave man
I suppose the obvious question though, is it worth it?? All that effort must be costing a bit in time/parts, guess if you got the damaged one cheap enough.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Really interesting to see this project unfold - fantastic work.
It must be great to have the dry space and equipment to play on that scale...

There are more bolt down points at the front and rear of the body.
Catalyst is not part of diesel mot test I learned the other day Its only tested for smoke apparently.

Didnt make the bodyshop this week as a job has gone further than he wanted getting in the way of the D3's repair
I have changed the front cambelt
The engine started for the first time today since the chassis swap and sounded as sweet as a nut. Ran on idle and didnt rev it so i could get some fresh oil into the new turbo
