Well, I found the site referred to by mzc and thought to myself - my car has been off the road longer than that! It has also had waaaaaaaaay more spent on warranty repairs - probably getting close to a record for Australia! Still, I love it. Whistle

Not even a 4x4. 6 litre V8 sedan Thumbs Up

From all the stories, it seems to me that 1/2 the problem may be the people who are supposed to be fixing these issues... Idea

There is a spare slightly used (and abused) gear box down at Purnells. Doesn't rattle or use first gear Laughing
 Take the road less traveled. Dual battery system.ORS drawers,LR cargo Barrier.ARB Bull bar,side protection bars,Mickey Thompson ATR's 17" rims, Rear wheel carrier, radiator guard TPMS Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch LR RAI Steel Rims , GME UHF, Off Road GPS, Llams (yet to be fitted)

Well, the first 2 HPFP failures on mine were from a funky designed bearing - courtesy of LR. The other 2 replaced were because the installation of the redesigned part was incorrect - too much tension on the bearing, wearing it out prematurely. So for mine, it was exactly 50/50 as you say Tris.
