Just read your other post Re: dealers.
Ask for potential causes of problems on here then go to the dealer and tell them. Stick with the one who listens most. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Exactly, that's the main problem.

One of the better and more lucid "I hated my car sites". Will be interested in any reaction from the players.
Sorry to hear about the experience.
It is interesting to speculate how much is the dealer and how much is the car.

I can understand why the mods removed the link. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Probably true, the web site has some content now, back then it was just a place holder.

Well the reasons given were:
"we don't consider this as a constructive way of solving problems"
and
"To just publicly diss Land Rover in the manner you have done is very one sided"
I can't say I understand, but it's up to the moderators to decide, and I have to abide by their decision, so I won't be posting the link again.
If someone wants to PM me, I'm sure I can email them the link if interested.
One think I don't understand is why publishing a bunch of information without filling up the forum with LONG messsages, should have been helpful to disco3.co.uk. I don't expect LR reps, or dealer reps to respond to information about my specific case here anyway, so it will always be a one sided discussion anyway.
Oh, and I wasn't trying to, nor expecting to solve any problem, way too late for that now, I was more interested in letting people know what can and does happen. Some of the things that the dealer in question did were down right dangerous!

A Land Rover specialist once told me the only thing wrong with most Landies is the last person that serviced them.
Well the vehicle had issues, but the dealer managed to introduce new faults, and drag out the repair process beyond what any reasonable person could tolerate.
The dealers managed to:
1. Introduce wheel alignment probles when trying to fix the air suspension.
2. Create not one but TWO separate fuel leaks when replacing fuel gauge sensors.
3. Brake pad warning light on dash when replacing the instrument cluster (trying to fix the fuel gauge).
4. Who knows what else...

Well, I don't agree with the reasons given for removing the link. Your site was one of the more reasonable "rant" sites, and one-sided....so I suppose one-sided praise is not ok either then.
However, my opinion and yours don't count. We neither own the board nor run it, so those that do decide what is appropriate and what is not appropriate. Which is as it should be, and if people don't like the rules here they don't need to visit the site.
I hope your next vehicle works out for you.
It's interesting, for almost any given vehicle you can find a similar rant site.
Very remiss of Land Rover not to have taken that domain name before you though. --

They didn't even bother to register the "4" domain either!
I see that this site has disco4.com for the disco4 forums. You would think a large company would snaffle up all the appropriate domains.
The 'next' vehicle is going fine, had a noisy fuel pump (replaced) and a rattle in the B pillar I can't figure out, but appart from that all sweet.
After the Disco, I can cope with pretty much anything a vehicle can throw at me

I thought this was a discussions site about land rovers by land rover owners...not a tribute site where someone's negative Land Rover experiences are arbitrarily removed
so much for everyone having an opportunity to tell their own truths...very disappointing. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
