Thumbs Up

The real test it to put the 3 lock-in pins in.
If you can get them in, then it’s fine.

Yeap looks ok

If you make sure you can get the top pins in. Remove them
Put the bottom pin in.
Then if you can get the top pins in (maybe a bit of a struggle) it’s fine

Yeah go for if.

Leave the coolant cap loose so the air can escape.

Get your coolant level right.
Bleed your coolant if that’s what you did last time.

I find leaving the cap off overnight can be useful. Don’t forget though.

Give the car a run and get it upto temperature.

Then try your trailer.

Wise to carry some oil with you. And water.

I’ve just got myself some cans 😂

I’d be happy to buy a few little bottles of brandy for the help guys!

Right. I drove home and smelled slight oil (presuming that’s the old stuff burning off)

Drive home 3 miles up hill no trailer hitched on. The temperature seemed to raise to half way within the 1.5 mile. Is this normal with a new water pump or sound odd?

If you think it’s getting hot quickly, maybe it needs bleeding.
Or it could be cus it’s nearly summer

Coolant level is almost at brim still after driving home with cap loose. Will leave loose overnight and I was going to suck some out in morning to the cold line. And bleed etc.
Poured in a jug of water, then coolant, and repeat to an even amount but unmixed. Presuming it will mix in the system over a few miles driving.

Maybe I’m just worrying too much driving on egg shells
