Our Disco is insured under the wifes name. This year it's going up to £311 from £204 last year, not too bad but she is getting on a bit now (the wife, not the car, although then again...)2004 Disco 3 HSE TDV6

I found it weird last year, SWMBO had reversed into my park and unattended Disco on the driveway, we claimed off her insurance, at the next renewal my insurance went up a bit but hers, with a fault claim, came down!

Did my D4 Commercial MY2013 yesterday.
Lloyds Bank up from £285 last year to £390. Rang them (nice lady) said she worked her magic and it went up to £450!! And she could do no better.
Did the usual GoCompare and Money Supermarket runaround and ended up with RAC for £297
To be honest, looking at the name Land Rover all over the insurance news, I expected to get truly fleeced (even though the D4 is not so much in the limelight although I do have keyless entry).
Filed away for another 12 months "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"
Current Ride: D4 XS Commercial Baltic Blue SDV6 fully loaded with heated everything
Track Days: BMW E36 M3 Evolution MY 1996 (3.2 Litre 377 BHP sat in 1,250 Kgs of car, with a pro safety cage and some serious braking power)
I'm obviously trying quite hard to find a good deal ... one of the comparison sites briefly decided I was a bot !

and the latest.......... Aviva are happy to insure LR/RR but you have to pay £1750 ''theft excess'' on top of everything else2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten
OK ... went through Go.Compare as it offered "free £250 excess" on any policy taken out via their website.
It was then looking like Hastings ... but, having spent tooooo long finding what the differences are between Hastings Essentials / Hastings Direct / Hastings Premium, when I actually went to their webpage the minimum price (the Essentials level) was almost as high as the Premium had been showing at previous stage. Adding in the bits I wanted made it about £50 dearer than the price that had lured me in, so they can go play with themselves for that trick.
Next up was Tesco Bank / Tesco Cover+ ... price at "stage 2" was lower than on Go.Compare, but ploughing through the small print, I add to manually add things like legal cover AND keys/fobs were explicitly NOT covered, which is annoying when Go.Compare says keys are included.
Additionally - EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION - I had to add "COMMUTING" to make it legit for SWMBO to occasionally use my car to go to work BUT THAT REMOVED HER 3rd PARTY COVER on other vehicles. We don't need it, but shows you need to read ALL the .
End result ... £378 out of pocket , up from £294 or there abouts last year. Just have to check M&S policy doesn't autorenew now !

Also went with Hastings and funny enough found it cheaper and on confused than supermarket compare
Came out around £500 with full home recovery , key cover , protected NCB
Knew it wasn’t the fault of A plan as they said so many of there brokers dropped out from insuring land rovers as there quote came in at just over £1200
Also had a lot of the things in ur pic
Ref renewals I always cancelled them via my bank app to prevent any auto renewals coming out by mistake
Good to see u got a good quote , wonder what next year will bring , hopefully a lot better with JLR updating all landies back to 2016 and not taring all of them with the same brush so to speak

What the hell has that got to do with that ghastly little man ?
If he's so concerned about the costs of motoring to Londoners he could start by axing ULEZ.
Still, he may be trying to earn some Brownie Points as it is an election year.

Insured through Hastings last year, clock ticked over today to 30 days till renewal and received a nice email from them…..….
“ We're really sorry. We won't be able to renew your policy this year. Unfortunately, we can't offer you insurance for your car next year. It means your policy will end on 31st March 2024 at 11:59pm. We're really sorry about this”
No reason given apart from the usual drivel stating it could be for any reason from the local crime rate to the fact I haven’t cut the grass yet.
Dropped onto comparison site, thought I’d be a good boy and register the new roof rack, spot lights, brake upgrade etc as modifications…and Quote me happy did what they say, insured for the coming year for £430. Was £134 more than last year but considering the mods I’ve included and the horror stories I’ve been seeing I think it was a good deal 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
My Wife thinks the D3 is a hobby, The D3 thinks the wife is 💕
