Sorry, by faff I meant it's annoying that we have to do it simply because the companies themselves aren't being honest with us. They should be required to offer their best price to everyone, every time, irrespective of how long one has been a customer.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Home insurance is more of a faff if your contents value exceeds the max offered on comparison sites and you have high value items like art, handbags, bikes, sports equipment, computers, garage contents, electronics, clothes, shoes and jackets for a family of four before you've even looked at the cost of furniture replacement etc.
A friend of mine learnt a very painful lesson by being underinsured. It's because of him I did a proper look at the value of things and it's quite scary what you have when you tot it up.D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Land Rover insurance problems mount as owners are refused in-house cover
Land Rover owners are up in arms over the brand’s insurance scheme refusing cover for some of its own vehicles. The Land Rover insurance scheme was relaunched last month to help owners, some of whom have been claiming that their vehicles were “uninsurable”.
Auto Express reader and Range Rover Velar owner Jonathan Hardwick contacted us, saying “I am alarmed at how my car insurance has gone up three-fold this year. The car has a tracker and is kept behind a locked gate at night, always having a Krooklok fitted when parked. But on comparison sites, the cheapest premium I can find is £1,780.”

A couple were forced to sell their nearly brand new top-of-the-range Land Rover at a £14,000 loss after an insurance company cancelled her policy just one month after buying it.
Stay-at-home-mother Hannah Platts, 40, and husband Kareem Chester, 39, bought a new Land Rover Defender for £80,000 in October last year, and after fishing around for an insurance quote, got one for £2,300 a year.

I think what's actually happened here is they transferred their existing policy to this vehicle and the broker could not find a suitable insurer for the renewal

GoCompare and the Meerkats are coming in just under the £400 mark.
I saw that one of the deals has a flag "expires today" against it. Absolutely zero chance that will entice me.
@Mods: can we combine the 2 current insurance threads ?

My RRS is with LV. c.£500 this year from c.£300 last year. No change in circumstances other than the car is worth a few hundred less now than it was then.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
